I live in Japan for five long years. When Hagane no Renkinjutsushi - Fullmetal Alchemist started in the Gundam Seed's time, i dont watch more than three chapters and think "it's just the 'in' anime of this time". But recently, when the anime channel Animax restarted Hagaren, i take that 30 minutes all days to take a look of it.
And i was impressed by the story, strong and original, with fantasy, but very real in some aspects. The battles have a lot of anime cliches, but still respecting the limits of the characters, without "secret technics, special attacks, bla bla bla" for save the world in the last minute. They dont have "god updates", stage 2, 3, 4... They lose when they are weak, and die. And every piece have the place on the finals. If it is not the best comercial anime in times, it's one of the bests.
I do this pic in two hours, starting just when Hagaren started today. When i finished, Rurouni Kenshin started.
Sketch, lines, painting, words, all in Photoshop. Made without plans, so Edward have to be out.
And... It's my first work this year on PC, and the first in months!
